SGVP Surya Sports Academy was established with a noble vision of Guruvarya Shastri Shri Madhavpriyadasji Swami and the guidance of Sadguru Purani Shri Balakrushnadasji Swami. Recognizing the immense potential and talent among the youth of India, the academy aims to nurture and groom athletes to reach their full potential and achieve international acclaim.

History
The academy was conceived with the understanding that India, despite its large population and diverse talent pool, often falls short in securing gold medals and high honors at international sports events such as the Olympics. Inspired by the transformative journey of Swami Vivekananda, where key figures recognized and nurtured his potential, SGVP Surya Sports Academy seeks to replicate this mentorship model. The academy aims to act as the “Soni,” the jeweler who refines raw talent into shining stars.

Purpose
The primary purpose of SGVP Surya Sports Academy is to provide world-class training and facilities to young athletes across various sports disciplines, including cricket, football, basketball and lawn tennis. The academy is committed to:

In today’s modern era, good knowledge, values, and good health are very important for an excellent life, hence the great mantra of Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratisthanam (SGVP) is STUDY, SPORTS AND SPIRITUALITY.
We all know that through sports we can stay healthy and increase the feeling of friendship and trust among ourselves. Today technology has entered every game and every game is now being played using scientific methods. The level of every sport and sporting spirit is rising considerably. With this, players are provided an opportunity to strengthen their decision-making power by finding timely solutions to the problems that arise during the game.
